Faith's Lodge

Faith's Lodge, a Place where hope grows.

Dan and I visited Faith's Lodge in Danbury, WI in September.

This was a great opportunity for us to have some time to reflect and grieve for Evan. The lodge was amazing. Not only did it bring us to meet some wonderful people with like stories, but it was a place that we had no worries and only hope for our future of our family.

We were able to make several keepsake items that would always bring the memory of Evan back to us.

Please enjoy the pictures.

Dan and I in front of this 8 room lodge. In each room was a sitting area, plasma tv, fireplace and sleep number beds. It was beautiful.

One of the keepsakes we were able to make and again reflect on how Evan has impacted our lives.
Also, we were able to decorate a rock and put at the Bridge of Hope.

We had a few bonfires with some of the other couples. It was just breathtaking.

Here we are at the Bridge of Hope. Evan's rock is laid just under the dark skinny tree to the left of the bridge. this rock will never be disturbed by people. It is a sacred place.

Maggie's 1st Day of Kindergarten

It's been awhile since I have updated this blog. I apologize. I am now a user of Facebook.com and most photos are on there.

We did want to post the lastest and greatest...Maggie heads to Kindergarten. We are so proud of her. We took the previous week to practice getting up and getting dressed without Mom and Dad's help and she did marvelous. Once the school week began, she was in our room ready for breakfast within 5 minutes of her alarm going off. What a gal. We wonder how long it will last. ha ha

Her teacher's name is Ms. Klug and Maggie also has a previous friend from her montessori days in her class. After her first day, she got to choose where to go for lunch and Papa met us there to celebrate. It was a monumentous occassion. That always calls for BK, right?

Enjoy the photos, as we enjoyed the day.

Maggie is in the traditional pose for her first day.
This is Maggie's locker for her before school program. Owen was a great support that day, he almost got detention for the attitude he displayed.
